Intervention

If you or a member of your family becomes a part of an intervention, you are one of the lucky ones. The only options of additive drug and alcohol abuse is continued negative consequences, but by providing a caring environment in an inpatient facility, the addict has a much higher chance of becoming clean and healthy than they will on their own. It provides a stable environment with medically trained personnel to monitor the success rate or the need for further care.

Intervention Program

For many clients, it is a matter of discovering other causes that led up to the addiction. Finding the right recovery method for each person can be different. If there are issues of mental illness or trauma that has never been addressed, a residential substance abuse program will bring it out and counseling or treatment can begin. Recovery is always difficult and enrolling in substance abuse rehab is frightening to many people.

intervention substance abuseAddicts fear being able to feel happy, confident and secure without the addiction they have become used to. It is a part of their life that blocks the bad emotions so they do not have to hurt. A good program provides the skills and treatment to understand the reasons behind this fear and how to deal with it. With proper treatment, the person will regain control of their own life and decisions without the influence of addition. Their courage will come from a self-confidence of control over their own future without worrying about the emotional pain of the past.
